Please introduce yourself to everyone else here and what has drawn you to taking this class. Feel free to include information about your hobbies and interests so we can get a sense of who you are. If you are doing the video capture, be aware that you can also use a different program to make your recording, and then use the ‘upload media’ option that appears as a tab when you click on the ‘movies’ icon in the tool bar when you hit reply.  If you use the Canvas system (i.e. if you choose the option ‘Record Media’), be aware that sometimes it takes a while to get going and it may seem ‘stuck’ on the black screen for a while.  You may also get a pop-up bar along the top of your screen asking for permission to use your web cam, in addition to the one that appears in the dialog box.  If all else fails, go ahead and just write your introduction – but please try to do the video if you can as it helps us get to have a better sense of each other.  Have fun with it!
